About Me

Hello, 

I’m Tom Pryor, a Secondary English teacher based in NSW with over 10 years of classroom experience. I entered the teaching profession as a mature-age student, bringing a diverse background across several industries with me. This experience allows me to bring real-world relevance to my lessons and help students make meaningful connections between the texts we study and the world around them.

My approach to tutoring is supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs. Whether we’re exploring literary analysis, improving essay skills, or preparing for exams, I focus on clear communication and practical strategies that build confidence and capability.

Outside of teaching, I’m an active person who enjoys surfing, hiking, and spending time in nature.
